Why Isn’t Eugenia Cooney Posting Anymore?
Where was Eugenia Cooney last seen?
- Last documented platform activity: X, January 2025 (X (official profile))
- Confirmed in-person sightings: none reported by an editorial outlet as of 2025
The most concrete public trace is digital. Her X account was active in January 2025, which is also where she shared a light-touch post celebrating TikTok’s return — the kind of update that suggests she is alive, online, and aware of internet culture.
Away from X, the record thins. A Reddit thread in r/LAinfluencersnark claimed she had been photographed in public with her brother (Reddit (community discussion hub)). The thread circulated as proof of life, but it is community-reported rather than a verified news report — which is why it sits in the “reported” column, not the confirmed one.
The next signal will likely appear on X, not YouTube — that was her most recent documented platform as of January 2025.
Is Eugenia Cooney active on social media?
- X: active as of January 2025 (X (official profile))
- YouTube: no new uploads since the pause (YouTube (official channel))
- Twitch: no new streams documented in the available record
“Active” depends on which platform you check. Cooney hasn’t said she’s quitting, but she also hasn’t said she’s coming back. That absence of a statement is itself the fact driving the conversation.
The pattern: one platform stays lit, two go dark, and the community fills the gap with interpretation. Until Cooney posts definitively, that’s the whole story.
How Rich Is Eugenia Cooney?
What is Eugenia Cooney’s net worth?
- Official net worth: no confirmed figure has been published
- Speculative estimates: hundreds of thousands of dollars (MaplePolicy (celebrity news blog))
There is no confirmed number because Cooney has never published her finances, and no financial institution has either. The figures that circulate on celebrity-news blogs are arithmetic exercises: subscriber counts, estimated ad rates, and guesses at sponsorship deals.
Those estimates consistently land in the hundreds of thousands, not the millions. That range is plausible for a creator with Cooney’s longevity, but it’s a guess with a calculator attached, not a disclosure.
Subscriber counts create real earning potential, but they are not income statements.
What are Eugenia Cooney’s income sources?
- YouTube ad revenue from a 2.11 million-subscriber channel (YouTube (official channel))
- Twitch subscriptions and viewer donations during her livestream era (Business Insider (US entertainment news))
Cooney’s income has always been tied to her platforms. YouTube ad revenue rewards watch time, and a channel of her scale generates meaningful impressions. During her Twitch era, subscriptions and direct donations added a second stream that ran outside YouTube’s ad system.
The catch: reach is not revenue. The exact number is private, and any published figure overstates what can actually be verified.
Is Eugenia Cooney at a Healthy Weight?
Appearance-based judgments are not medical evidence. Cooney’s 2019 intervention was documented; a diagnosis never was.
What health concerns surround Eugenia Cooney?
- Long-running public concern about her low weight, years before the 2019 intervention (Business Insider (US entertainment news))
- 2023 police wellness check after calls from concerned viewers (Yahoo Entertainment (news outlet))
- Current medical status: no official statement exists
The concern has followed Cooney for most of her career. In 2023, it escalated to a police response: after viewers raised concerns, a wellness check was conducted, and an account described her as safe and of sound mind — a statement attributed to someone who said he had known her for more than a decade (Yahoo Entertainment (news outlet)).
Cooney has maintained during livestream interactions that she is healthy and that viewers should not worry, according to the same report (Yahoo Entertainment (news outlet)). That is her account; it is not a medical evaluation.
When was Eugenia Cooney hospitalized?
- 2019: placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold after friends intervened, followed by about four weeks of eating-disorder treatment, with a public return in a Shane Dawson documentary in July 2019 (Business Insider (US entertainment news))
Cooney told Business Insider she felt ambushed by the intervention and described the hospital experience as frightening. She later discussed the 5150 hold publicly with YouTuber and therapist Kati Morton.
The implication: Cooney’s 2019 treatment is the only documented health intervention in her history. Everything else — including assessments of her current weight — remains unverified.
Who Were Eugenia Cooney’s Parents?
Who is Eugenia Cooney’s dad?
- Father: Tom Cooney; mother: Kate Cooney — both documented in her videos and public records (YouTube (official channel))
Cooney’s family has been visible in her content for years. Her parents appear in her videos, and she has spoken about family life in streams.
Does Eugenia Cooney have a brother?
- Brother: Thomas Cooney; photographed with her in a 2025 community sighting (Reddit (community discussion hub))
The Reddit thread showed Cooney in public with her brother, which is why the family’s name resurfaced in discussions about her absence.
Does Eugenia Cooney have a husband?
- Marital status: no public record of a spouse
Cooney is not married, based on the available public record. Her documented relationships are with her family, not a partner.
The implication: her family is named in the public record but absent from the current narrative — and their role in her day-to-day life is unverified.
When Did Eugenia Cooney Start YouTube?
What platforms did Eugenia Cooney use?
- YouTube: channel created April 24, 2010, with early livestreams also on YouNow (YouTube (official channel))
- Twitch: later became her main streaming platform (MaplePolicy (celebrity news blog))
Cooney launched her channel on April 24, 2010, which makes her one of the longer-tenured creators on the platform. Her early work was a mix of makeup and fashion, with a dark gothic presentation that became her signature.
What type of content does Eugenia Cooney make?
- Content mix: makeup tutorials, fashion, and Just Chatting-style streams, all with a distinctive gothic aesthetic (Wikipedia (community-edited encyclopedia))
The through-line across her career is the aesthetic. Whether she’s doing a makeup tutorial or a long stream, the gothic presentation is the constant. It also made her a recognizable figure beyond YouTube — a creator you could identify in a single frame.
What this means: Cooney’s career was built early and stayed consistent. The 2025 pause is the first real break in that rhythm.
What Is Eugenia Cooney’s Real Name?
How old is Eugenia Cooney?
- Age: 30, born July 27, 1994 (Wikipedia (community-edited encyclopedia))
What is Eugenia Cooney’s height?
- Height: 5 ft 10 in (1.78 m) (Wikipedia (community-edited encyclopedia))
Her full legal name is Eugenia Sullivan Cooney, and she has used it consistently across her channels (Wikipedia (community-edited encyclopedia)). The name matters because the “Cooney” surname ties her to the family that appears throughout her story — Tom, Kate, and her brother Thomas.
The pattern: every identity fact about Cooney is publicly documented; every current-status fact is not.
Timeline: From Rise to Silence
Four moments trace the arc from a documented recovery to an unexplained pause.
| Year | Event |
|---|---|
| 2019 | Hospitalized after an intervention by friends and placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold (Business Insider (US entertainment news)) |
| 2020–2023 | Returns to streaming on Twitch (MaplePolicy (celebrity news blog)) |
| 2024 | Fan concern intensifies; Cooney briefly addresses health on stream (Yahoo Entertainment (news outlet)) |
| 2025 | Ceases posting on YouTube and Twitch; last documented activity on X in January 2025 (X (official profile)) |
What the timeline shows: the 2019 crisis is the hinge. Before it, Cooney built a career; after it, she rebuilt one — and then, in 2025, she went quiet with no announcement.

Voices on the Silence
“Eugenia is still alive but doesn’t stream anymore (I hope she doesn’t).”
Reddit user on r/LAinfluencersnark (Reddit (community discussion hub))
She is safe and of sound mind.
Statement attributed to a longtime acquaintance, reported by Yahoo Entertainment (news outlet)
Two voices capture the split: one protective, one reassuring. Cooney’s own voice has been absent from the platforms where she built her career.
The through-line: supporters sound protective, skeptics sound worried, and the creator at the center hasn’t posted a definitive word about a return.
Where Eugenia Cooney Stands Now
The practical question for fans isn’t whether Cooney will return — it’s how the silence gets interpreted. Every week without an upload gives the rumor mill more room, and with no statement from Cooney, the discourse on Reddit and X will keep filling the gap. For Eugenia Cooney’s viewers, the choice is clear: treat the absence as a documented fact and the reasons as unconfirmed, or let unverified narratives harden into accepted history.
